Black Bull Bitter 3.9% ABV

“A pronounced citrus fruit flavour and aroma”

This bitter was originally brewed to commemorate our original pub and brewhouse. It was so popular we kept on brewing it and made it a permanent member of our classic ale range. More bitter than Best, this refreshing beer is hopped using traditional Golding hops.

Short Notes (Cyclops definition)

See: Golden amber
Smell: Subtle fruit
Taste: Crisp, dry fruity finish

Tasting Notes

A bright amber bitter, well attenuated to give a crisp, refreshingly dry taste. The late and dry-hopping with Golding hops ensures a pronounced citrus fruit flavour and aroma.

April 2012 is the 100th Anniversary of the Titanic setting sail. To mark the occasion, Titanic Brewery have designed and built a suitably heavyweight beer. The Titanic weighed in at roughly 26,000 tonnes and was, at the time, the heaviest object ever moved by man.

Doubly golden to celebrate 100 years and brewed using English malt produced in the same way it would have been in 1912, the hops meanwhile recognise the innovation and ingenuity employed in the condstruction of the great liner. Yakima Galena and Cascade from the US provide bitterness and citrus notes whilst English Challenger give balance to the triumverate. Let this beer slip gently from her mooring and share with us the very best of British creativity.
