The festive season is nearly upon us and this has prompted me to update our ales slightly earlier than usual, December offers us some very fine ales and I hope that we will see you over the Christmas and New Year.

Robinsons Mr. Scrouge Humbug abv 4.4%

A full-bodied premium bitter, with a rich and complex palate that’s complimented by both lemon and blackcurrant fruit notes.

Everards Sleighbell abv 4.5%

A rich and comforting Christmas ale. Brewed with Maris Otter malt and Cascade hops. Dry hopped with Cascade before conditioning.

Marston’s Ugly Sisters abv 4.5%

A real Christmas cracker from Marston’s, brewed with Golden Promise malt with Fuggles and Golden hops. It’s in front of you!

Batemans Rosey Nosey abv 4.9%

This classic Christmas beer is complex and rich-tasting, with plenty of seasonal roast malt character and a generous hop flavour.

Wadworths Spearfish abv 5.0%

Classic English ale flavours meet the tropical Caribbean taste of Pusser’s Rum, commemorating 100 years of Naval aviation.

CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR 2009

Due to the number of enquiries we have had regarding Christmas Day lunch we have decided that this year we will be offering lunch on Christmas day. Numbers are limited so book early too avoid disappointment, there will be one sitting commencing at 12.30pm. The menu will be available by the end of this week and the cost will be £49.95 per adult and £29.95 for children under 12. A fifty percent deposit will be required (payable by 1st dec) Deposits are non-refundable on cancellations after December 10th 2009

New years eve will be a free non ticket event. More news to follow soon, when confirmation has been received.
